Drawing through Awareness: a 2 day workshop which will foster a spontaneous and creative approach to the process of drawing.  Working with a broad range of materials in response to what we not only see, but also hear and feel, we will explore many ways, through personal discovery, to expand and increase our perceptive skills and powers of creative expression.  Some materials (such as large format paper and very large brushes) will be provided. Below is a list of suggested materials to bring with you, but please include any other drawing and painting media or equipment you like to work with – do not limit yourself to this list and if you have trouble fi nding certain items, do not worry:

• Some good quality drawing paper, as large as possible but preferably at least A2 size

• Large tubes of acrylic paint- colours Black & Burnt Umber + acrylic painting medium

• Charcoal, preferably compressed 3B – 5B; and if you can find a large chunk of charcoal, please bring it along too

• A good supply of Soft Pencils (3B – 6B or even 8B if available)
