Hello and welcome to Whanganui Open studios the flagship project of the Whanganui Arts and Marketing Development trust.
Do we have some great treats for you this year? We welcome back some old favourites and look forward to seeing some new faces especially UCOL students from their new home.
Once again we have a wide range of Artists from the Internationally feted to the enthusiastic amateur. All with their doors wide open.
We have laid things out slightly differently this year so you can pick up a map from the Information Centre /I-site on Guyton Street and from the Community arts centre on Taupo Quay.. So you can choose a route and go discover the world of  Whanganui artists. On the website will be list of all the artists and in the bulletin there will be a brief selection of their work and links to their home sites. We are just loading their data now so it should be up any day.
We have a record-breaking number of collectives and a few individuals who have decided to show together. Then we have the brave souls that have taken the leap to open their studios up for you.
There is a diverse range of work to see, please take the opportunity to visit the further flung parts, off the beaten track where we can guarantee you will find some undiscovered gems.
